Holi(Rose) N4 Deodorant Review

I have two favorite deodorants- and this is one of them (the other one is from Meow Meow Tweet). I have to acknowledge that I do work in an office environment, however even when I am outdoors, active, and sweaty, this product works for me. I also bought one for my mom to try since she LOVES the scent of roses, and as her job requires her to run around a lot, indoors and outdoors, she has given this deodorant the stamp of approval- even through the summer months. So after months of use, we can both attest to its stink-free greatness!

The packaging is also one of the most beautiful I have seen in the green beauty world- simple, easy-to-use, hassle-free, and so luxurious. Now what about what’s inside?

Ingredients: Organic coconut oil, sodium bicarbonate, beeswax, sunflower butter, avocado butter, castor oil, rose essential oil, sandalwood essential oil, love

Please do note that if you’re sensitive to sodium bicarbonate, you probably should not use this product- however, the founder has told us she is working on a baking-soda free formula as of now! As this doesn’t agitate my skin, this formulation gives me no issues whatsoever.

When I was first considering Holi(Rose) and read over the ingredients list, I thought to myself that there is no one ingredient that drastically differentiates it from the other green deodorants I’ve tried. In a way it’s too easy for many of us to adopt a mentality that “exotic” is always better; sometimes “exotic” ingredients can work better,  but keep in mind that what is exotic to us, is not to the people of the area where the ingredient originates from. In the end, if the weed you see every day in your backyard works the best, then you don’t need to look for some fancy replacement. In this case, with Agent Nateur, simplicity works. If you follow the founder and read her posts, you’ll learn how she very meticulously sources her ingredients- and I believe this is one of the aspects which so drastically improve the efficacy of her formulations.

I do have my eye on Holi(man), but I cannot get over the smell of this product. The rose scent is SO beautiful- it’s nor overpowering nor subtle, but just perfect. And again, my rose-obsessed-mom-approved!

The product sells for $26 on Agent Nateur and multiple green beauty vendors.
